Praise for my book designs April 26, 2006
I do a lot of book cover designs for Genesis Press who distributes through Kensington Publishing Group. I recently did a major design run of about 30 books for for their 2006-2007 market and trade books. According to my contact at Genesis Press, “we (Genesis) received a standing applause for our covers (the covers I designed) submitted for mass market and 2007.”
Also, my cover for “A Taste of Tempation” is going to be featured at Book Expo of America. Thats a pretty big deal for me. Its huge! The owner of Genesis Press thinks we should even enter that particular cover in an award competition.
I just wish I could get more recognition in the industry as a book designer so I can pick up the pace and do this full time.
I would love to design a book for Random House or even get the chance to work with Chip Kidd. But this is a start by having Kensington recognize my books…they are a fairly large publishing company themselves. Its been very fun and fast paced working with their creative director Janice to get the best book covers out there.
