New Dibolmi.com on Rails June 2, 2007

Been working on a new Dibolmi.com after some morrocan hackers decided to deface my website due to some vulnerabilities in the portfolio software I was using at the time. Wow what a mouthful. Anyways, I’ve been learning Ruby on Rails, so thought I would take this as an opportunity to start migrating my site over. Ruby on Rails has turned out to be relatively easy for me to move over to from PHP Once I got the hang of the syntax and what was what in relation to PHP. Only miff is that Prototype is DEEPLY ingrained in Ruby on Rails. Would prefer to work with mootools. I’ll have to fiddle around some more to figure out how to use mootools instead of prototype for talking back and forth to server. But overall, I’m impressed with it, and like how quick one is able to push out a site with minimal code.
